According to a worldwide survey conducted by the United Nations in 2005, around 100 million people are homeless and without any shelter to pursue their life. The 2011 Indian census data shows around 28% people from rural areas and 20% people from cities live without shelters in India. And considering the social stratification in the Indian society, marginalisation of the historically deprived sections such as Muslims, Dalits, and Adivasi will be addressed with more importance.
